The club traditionally arranges some three shows during the year. The first show is usually held on May, the next maybe is alongside with the summer camp around the mid summer and the third typically at the end of a summer or later in the autumn.
Other events? Well, that is up to you and your fellow members...

So we have to obey also statute number

In practice this means that on 2001 and after born tail cut dogs
without a proper certificate are not allowed to contribute our shows and tests.
Year 2010 events are over. Shows go on again next year. Also summer camp could see the day light next year and maybe some other events.
The russell fellows might arrange also some local events.

If these events were not enough for you, you can get a boat and sail the Baltic sea to visit our neighbour club in their events...

The Jyväskylä local show was on the 18th of September 2010 at Jyväskylä besides Laajavuori ski resort.
Our judge was Mr Jan Dewinter from Belgium. Great thanks to him for meeting us and for judging!
The show champion title was given to Kiitäjän Bahis. The reserve champion was Alma. Kaivurin Valtti was the best puppy. Congratulations!
National show 2010 was arranged with summer camp on the Sunday the 4th of July 2010 at dog centre Hiidenhelmi at Punkalaidun.
The judge was first time from Germany. She was the long line terrier breeder Patricia Schnoor. She breeds with kennel name The Roadrunners in Germany.
The Show champion was Hotchpotch Gimma (Nasta) and reserve was Hotchpotch Gilda (Kira). The best puppy was Pikku-Toivolan Saimi (Kara). Congratulations!
The summer camp of the club was on the weekend 2nd to 4th of July 2010 i.e. one week after the midsummer festival. The place was Punkalaidun's dog centre Hiidenhelmi.
This traditional happening was again a success.
New comer Mr Nick Hazeltine was our judge. He was his first time in Finland.
The show was at dog center Punkalaitumella on the Sunday the 1st of November.
Show champion was Hotchpotch Thunder Boomer (Ella) and reserve was Kiitäjän Beibi (Zara). Best puppy was Onatop Odessa (Tytti).
Summer camp was from 26th to 28th of June at Punkalaidun at dog camping center Hiidenhelmi.
Summer camp show 2009
There was also the show on the 28th of June 2009 at the camp place.
Long line terrier breeder Mr Simon Apps arrived to be our judge. He was in Finland also on year 2000 as a judge and was brave enough to come again.
The show champion title was given to Eppu (D.A's Frank). The reserve champion was Rauhalan Milli. Kiitäjän Boris was the best puppy.
This year the national show was after the breeder days 2008 happening on the Sunday the 2nd of November 2008 at dog center Hiidenhelmi.
This time we had as a judge Mr Neil Everley. Great thanks to Neil!
The show champion title was given to Korpihaaran Kalle. The reserve champion was Kaivurin Bertta. Rauhalan Morris was the best puppy and the reserve title was given to Väkä. Congratulations!
Those well known breeder days was this year 31.10.-2.11.2008 at dog center Hiidenhelmi. In this time all the club members were invited. In the past days only the registrated breeders were allowed.
Summer camp 2008 was from 27th to 29th of June at Punkalaidun at dog camping center Hiidenhelmi.
This summer camp was the most popular summer camp ever. So it was a success in that sense and otherwise also.Summer camp show

The show was on the 17th of the May at Tampere trotting centre at Teivo near II park place just besides Teivonlinna cafeteria. Weather was dry, but spring time cold.
This year we had as a judge John Beaney from East Anglia. John is an eager hunter and breeds Jack Russells. Great thanks to John for judging and the visit. Welcome back - take Stuart with You!
The show champion was D.A's Frank and reserve was Anni. The best puppy was Korpihaaran Lyyli. Congratulations!
Our National Show 2007 was at commonly known show place at Vierumäki near Lahti city on the 15th of September. We have had some shows there already in the past. The exact place was Koivisto stud farm.
The judge was Mr Alan Jones from England. He also served us some years ago as a judge. Thanks to Allan for visit and judging!
The show champion title was captured by Anni, which got the best puppy title last year. The reserve champion was Luna (Kaivurin Luna). Saku (D.A's Hupu) was the best puppy. Ninja (Korpivainion Duracell) was the reserve champion in puppy class. Congratulations!
The summer camp 2007 was on the 29th of June to the 1st of July 2007 at Punkalaidun on the dog camping center Hiidenhelmi.
At the summer camp we had some activities for russelists and russells and also lecture from the summer camp show judge.
Thanks to you all being there and organazing the event!With the summer camp at Punkalaidun at dog center Hiidenhelmi was the summer camp show on the 1st of July 2007 beginning on 1pm.
All dogs in our breed register were able to contribute to this year's very first show.
As a judge we were lucky to get Mr Adrian Guthrie. He is a long line terrier man from Scotland and also the national secretary of JRTCGB. Thanks to him for judging and for being here with us at the summer camp!
The show champion was Eddie (Sundance Eddie at D.A's) and reserve D.A's Binja. The best puppy was Kotorinteen Taotao. Congratulations to them and also to other winners!

For our club's registered breeders was the breeder days at weekend 21-22.4.2007. The place was at Uurainen near Jyväskylä at the Central Finland Hound club's camping center Oikari.
There was some lectures, group works and discussion sessions about some hot topics. Many of our active breeders were there enjoying this free event. Most propably we will arrange something similar again some day. Stay tuned.
The National Show 2006 was this year at Vierumäki near Lahti city. The place was Koivisto stud farm.
The judge was active terrier man and hunter Mr Matt Parr from Great Britain. In the travel arrangements was some challenges because of the strike of Finnair cabine crew, but we managed. Thanks to Matt for judging and Welcome to Finland again some day!
The show champion was Eddie (Sundance Eddie at D.A's) and reserve Tara (D.A's Funny). The best puppy was Anni.
The summer camp of year 2006 was on the 30th of June to the 2nd of July 2006 at Punkalaidun on the dog camping center Hiidenhelmi.
We had some dog activities and small talk with russell fellows. We had e.g. agility, strip school, shooting and blood tracking. In the countryside environment was also possible to try the rat hunting.
This time was also the traditional summer camp show. The judge was the second generation russell man Robert Ogden from Northern England. Thanks to Rob for visiting us here at hot arctic!
The summer camp and the show were a success with that extremely nice weather.
The show champion was Hotchpotch Tellervo and the reserve Nalle (Barry). The best puppy was Kira (Hotchpotch Gilda) and the next best Ässä. Working terrier class champion was Oskari (Wood Nymph Russell).
The Pyynikki Show 2006 was the 10th of its kind. Tampere region has been arranging these shows all that time.
The show was on the 20th of the May 2006 on Teivo trotting track at Ylöjärvi at the neigbourhood of Tampere beginning on the noon.
The original judge cancelled his journey about three weeks before the show. New judge was Jane O'Shea from England. Jane is the breeder of work line border terriers and has many own Jack Russell Terriers. She has judged many JRT shows.

The National 2005 Show was on the Saturday 5th of November 2005 at Loimaa. Exact place was the Plant Production Inspection Centre (Kasvituotannon tarkastuskeskus - KTTK) (the map: PDF / JPG ).
Weather had some moisture and wind, but was exceptionaly warm. We did the whole show outdoors despite that some wishes was raised to go inside.Scott judge Jock Reid was not bothered about the weather and judging was done smoothly via all the classes. Warm thanks to Jock for excellent judging! This must not be so bad place, if you already after six years was willing to visit us again.
The show champion was Eddie (Sundance Eddie at D.A's) and reserve was Tiltu (Bettiina).
The Summer Camp 2005 and an unofficial show was between the 1st and 3rd of July 2005 near Tampere at Lempäälä in Hiidenhelmi inn.
The Pyynikki 2005 Show was arranged by the locals the 9th time and as always on the May.
We had the show on the 21st of May 2005 starting at 10am at Tampere Kauppi greyhound racing track. As a judge was a russell and patterdale breeder Mrs Lillian Clarke from England. Warm thanks to her and also to all the contributors!
The show champion was Sissi and the reserve Tiltu.

The National Show 2004 was on the 11th of September at the Plant Production Inspection Centre (Kasvituotannon tarkastuskeskus - KTTK) at Loimaa. Great thanks to the organizers and participants for the succesful and well organized event.
The show judge was Liz Hulme from England. The most great thanks to Liz for very good judging and giving her long-time knowledge to us. Please come here again some day!The organizers probably ordered the weather in advance and weather was really fine. This is the good example for future show organizers to keep the control of the weather also.
The show champion was Hotchpotch Tellervo and reserve champion was D.A's Repe.

The summer camp and its show were held between the 9th and 11th of July in Lempäälä at Hiidenhelmi inn.
The weather was as agreed - the traditional one. Raining began in the beginning of the show and ended soon after it.
The judge of the show on the 11th of July was Mr Desi Mackin from Ireland. Thanks to him for judging and for relaxing with us at our summer camp!

As a tradition the first show of a year was in Tampere area. Pyynikki 2004 show was held on the 15th of May 2004 at Tampere Kauppi greyhound racing track. We have written this show to our stone archives as the most popular show in our history since stone age, when you count the number of the dogs. Thanks to all those participants!
At this time the mother weather was graceful. On the break we had a little moisture and after the show we had a good shower. The show took a little bit longer time than usually, but the real russell fellows were not bothered. They took it as a pleasure!

This time the judge had the wife with him, so no luggages or any was missing.

The National Show 2003 was on the 13th of September at Vierumäki near Lahti at Koivisto's riding-school. The evening event was at the Vierumäki's hunting club's cottage.
The judge was Mrs Roma "The Photo Model" Garon from England. Thanks to Roma for good judging. Welcome again to Finland - even though you English seem to loose your luggages when coming here... Thanks to all the contributers and special CV records are written to those making the arrangements.
At this time the weather was lovely - one of the best autumn weathers ever in our shows, but the show was indoors...
The show stars were the champion Sundance Eddie at D.A.'s and the reserve champion Hotchpotch Goljat .

The summer camp was held close to Tampere in Lempäälä at Hiidenhelmi inn between 27th and 29th of June 2003. In the summer camp was four event russell athletics, hunters quiz and enjoying the company of the fellow russellians. You can see some pictures about the summer camp in our photo gallery.
Also some occasional rat race and alike activities were available for the russells. Thanks to all the participants and escpecially to those involved in the arrangements of the summer camp! Hiidenhelmi inn was proved to be a good place to arrange russell events also in the future.
The summer camp show was on the Sunday 29th of June 2003. Show was judged by a long-run terrier man and experienced hunter Mr Brian Ludlam from England. Great Thanks to Brian and also to his boy Lee for visiting us and for judging!

The Pyynikki 2003 show was held on the 17th of May in Tampere at Kauppi greyhound racing track. Sceneries from the track place can be seen in our photo gallery under the "Russelit radalla" (in English: Russells on the track) title.
The judge was an experienced russell man Mr Dean Kemmish from Southern England. Big Thanks and All the the Best for Him for judging the Finnish russells in a shower!
In action part there was planned to be some greyhound like activities, but rain messed it up. We were not able to arrange the runs. Weather was not a very optimum for a dog show, but terriers' and their owners' weather tolerance was in a good test. And that was magnificent!
